Abdus Saboor Shaik

Abdus is a cofounder of Indimaj with experience across fusion research, technoeconomics, and international policy engagement. He is a researcher at Imperial College London, where he focuses on atom scale modelling of irradiation effects in fusion steels for programmes linked to STEP and broader UK fusion materials development. He also works with NEURONE on scientific and technical analysis for next-generation fusion systems.

Abdus has contributed to several international initiatives in the fusion sector. He served on the executive committee of the Arab Fusion Energy Initiative and is a member of the Arab Fusion Energy Programme. He has advised investors and early-stage companies through FusionX and has worked on fusion technoeconomics and deployment modelling with Woodruff Scientific. He remains an active advocate for fusion diplomacy and the role of international cooperation in enabling the global fusion ecosystem.

He holds a Bachelor’s in Physics from King’s College London and a Master’s in Nuclear Physics from the University of Edinburgh, and is currently completing his doctoral research at Imperial College London.
