Amro Bader

Amro Bader is the co–founder of Indimaj and a researcher in fusion technology at the University of Manchester. He works at the intersection of artificial intelligence, machine learning, and materials science to develop advanced fuels for next-generation fusion reactors, in collaboration with the United Kingdom Atomic Energy Authority (UKAEA).

He brings over a decade of experience in fusion research, including five years at ITER as a Senior Engineer and three years at the Max Planck Institute for Plasma Physics (IPP) as a Fellow of the European fusion programme (EUROfusion). He has also held research and academic positions at the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (Germany), TRIUMF–Canada’s National Particle Accelerator Centre, and Khalifa University (UAE). He is an invited referee for leading fusion research journals, including the IAEA journal Nuclear Fusion.

In addition to his research work, Amro is the Founder of the Arab Fusion Energy Program (AFEP), an intergovernmental initiative established under the auspices of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) and the Arab League, aimed at advancing fusion research and industrial capacity across the MENA region. He continues to coordinate AFEP activities with a broad network of stakeholders, including royal family offices, senior government officials, and academic leaders.
